What AI roles suit product managers?

Your advantage is knowing what problems to solve. Engineers often build impressive technology without product-market fit. Your PM instincts help you avoid this trap.
How much coding do I need to learn as a PM?
You don't need a CS degree. Focus on: Python basics (4-6 weeks), calling AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), simple web frameworks like FastAPI or Streamlit, and enough to prototype and validate ideas quickly. The goal is functional prototyping, not becoming a senior engineer. Many successful AI builders are ex-PMs who code just enough to ship.
Do I need prior AI experience?
Not necessarily. While some programming experience is helpful, many of my clients have successfully transitioned from web development, data science, or other technical backgrounds. We'll assess your current skills during our strategy call and create a personalized plan that meets you where you are.
